Sets information about a volume as a whole.

volume

The volume whose information is to be changed.

whichInfo

Which catalog info fields to set. The following fields may be set:

• backupDate
• finderInfo
• flags

info

The new values of volume info fields. See FSVolumeInfo for more information about these fields.

DISCUSSION

To set information about the root directory of a volume, use FSSetCatalogInfo.

Supported in Carbon. Available in Mac OS 9, and later when Carbon 1.0.2 or later is present.
